We believe that the ministry of all Christians is to make disciples of Jesus Christ. As a congregation we try to create an atmosphere of welcome for everyone who comes into our building. Christ is very clear that it is not our place to judge the "worthiness" or "righteousness" of others, or even ourselves ("Do not judge, so that you may not be judged." - Matthew 7:1)
We are enthusiastic in living out our beliefs in our shared worship and outreach ministries with churches of other denominations. We participate in community ecumenical services at Lenten Luncheon Services, on Palm Sunday, at the St. Francis of Assisi Day Blessing of the Pets, and at Thanksgiving. We also play a major role in the CROP Walk, Project Care-For, the community clothes closet and food pantry.
We believe that all Christians need to grow in their faith, and that the local church is the primary place for that to happen. We provide opportunities for that with children, youth and adults in mind. Bible studies, prayer groups, study groups, fellowship groups and Sunday School classes give us all the chance to experience God's presence through the Bible and in one another.
Most of all, we believe God loves everyone much more than we could ever know. Our task it to absorb the understanding deep into our hearts and live out that divine love in our own lives.
