Services

Early Service

The early service at Jamieson Memorial United Methodist Church is held at 9:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary.  The early service is more casual, with hymns led by Rev. Walt Westbrook on guitar.  There is no organ or choir at this service.  The service is followed by coffee and refreshments.

Traditional Service

The 11:00 service each Sunday is more traditional. The service may include piano, organ, bells and choir.

Special Services

Lenten Services

Jamieson participates in the Ecumenical Lenten Services held at various Clarksville churches each Wednesday during the Lenten season, where a pastor from one of the participating churches leads a community service at a different church. The service is followed by a Lenten Luncheon. Check the calendar for the scheduled services.

Community Palm Sunday Service

On Palm Sunday we meet at 9:00 a.m. in front of the Fine Arts Center, with the march into Clarksville ending at the Presbyterian Church. This service replaces the normal 9:00 a.m. service at Jamieson.

Ecumenical Maundy Thursday Service

On Maundy Thursday we celebrate the Last Supper. This will include a choir made up of several churches' choir members.

Good Friday Service

A profoundly spiritual service is held on Good Friday. Perfect preparation for Easter (there IS no Easter without Good Friday).

Easter Sunday Community Sunrise Service

Followed by our regularly scheduled 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. services. Bring flowers to decorate the Resurrection Cross.

Hanging of the Greens Service

Members of the church celebrate the Advent season and the decorating of our Sanctuary with prayer, biblical readings, Advent messages and song.

Advent Luncheon Services

Clarksville Clergy offer ecumenical Advent Services on Wednesdays at noon. The service is followed by a luncheon.

Christmas Eve Service

Jamieson hosts two services on Christmas Eve, an early service at 5:30 p.m. designed to appeal to children and families and the "midnight" service at 11:00 p.m.
