Communications Team
Our congregation will communicate internally and externally so that members and others will understand and become interested in participating in the Church for the mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
Responsibilities of the Committee:
- Creation and maintenance of the church website
- Distribution of email communications to the members as needed, with a system for phoning members without email access
- Preparation of news releases for the local newspapers, as requested
- Coordination of prayer requests by email and phone
- Placement of paid advertising as budget allows
- Development of a plan to implement the Five Practices which includes:
- A uniform signage policy for the church
- Taping sermons for shut-ins and nursing homes
- Interviewing church members for the newsletter and web
- Exploration of other creative methods of external and internal communications
