Mission

To encourage members of Jamieson Memorial United Methodist Church to enrich their spiritual lives through active regular attendance and active participation/ involvement with other church members, programs and activities.

Objectives

* To contact all church members

* To communicate with all church members whether active, inactive, local or non-local with the message that Jamieson is a church that promotes "OPEN HEARTS, OPEN MINDS, OPEN DOORS".

* Provide an open communication channel to better understand members concerns, needs, new ideas, etc.

* Inform people about new programs, education presentations, dinners and other special events (Monthly newsletter, website: www.jamiesonmemorialumc.org)

* Follow up on people who may have stopped coming to worship

* In situation of illness or discontent, contact the Pastor

* Refer any major or theological problems to Pastor

Organization

Volunteer "Shepherds" will be assigned a "flock" consisting of a group of families/individuals (both active and inactive). Each shepherd will be responsible for keeping track of their "flocks" contacting them via email, phone or visitation.

The program coordinator will act as "shepherd" to the Shepherds and report directly to the Pastor (with updates to Administrative Council)

To maintain accountability for this program, a quarterly meeting of Shepherds is held.
