The Jamieson Memorial United Methodist Church United Methodist Men group meets the second Sunday of each month at 8:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall for a business meeting and breakfast. There is usually a speaker to present issues that are of interest. The UMM are active at Jamieson and beyond by supporting the activities and organizations below:

May 5, 6, 2011 - The United Methodist Men will be constructing a handicapped ramp for a community member and friend of Jamieson Memorial United Methodist Church. Volunteers are needed to help and provide manual labor beginning at 8:30 am on Thursday, May 5. If you can help us or need further details, please contact Greg Carkhuff at 434-738-8712.

United Methodist Men construct a handicapped ramp for Lorraine Seiler.

May 14, 2011 - (Continued focus on Men's Health) Our next meeting is scheduled for May 14, 2011. The program will include a Mother's Day breakfast for all of the Jamieson mothers and a presentation by Michelle Gibson on; "Skin Cancer and Its Early Detection".
June 12, 2011 - We are hoping to have Scott Shanklin, the Superintendent of Occoneechee State Park, here for a discussion on the new marina that the park will be constructing. Plans have been in the works for several years now and we hope to get a first hand overview of that construction. See minutes attached.
July 10, 2011 - Discussion and update on the Clarksville Enrichment Complex from Jerry Ramsey. See minutes attached.
October 2 - 8, 2011 - Mission Trip to Red Bird Kentucky. The UMM are undertaking their first large scale mission trip in many years, to provide support and volunteers for the United Methodist Red Bird Mission. We will have our plans outlined by Red Bird in several weeks and will be conducting meetings to get our volunteers aquainted with the needs of this mission. All able-bodied persons who are interested in this Mission., contact either G. Carkhuff or Rev. Dale Gillis at 434-374-8050.
October 9, 2011 - Overview and discussion about our recent mission trip to Red Bird, Kentucky.
November 11, 2011 - Veteran's Day.
November 13, 2011 - (Continued focus on Men's Health) We are planning a discussion and presentation of the dangers of high blood pressure. The group is currently in the process of securing a presenter for this our last series in Men's Health.
December 11, 2011 - Plans not finalized at this time.
