
The Jamieson Memorial UMC and Clarksville Presbyterian Youth (JUMPY) meet together for bible study, community service and recreational activities. The youth meetings are Sunday evenings and rotate monthly between the two churches. Contact Don Chestnutt at Jamieson United Methodist or Rev. Jim Moss at Clarksville Presbyterian for information.
JUMPY leads a Sunday services at Clarksville Presbyterian Church and at Jamieson United Methodist Church once each year.
JUMPY holds an Annual Chili Cook-Off. Attendees will sample a variety of chili and vote on their favorite chili with spare change and dollar bills. You may also have the opportunity to buy a quart of chili to take home for the Super Bowl.
Youth from Jamieson and Clarksville Presbyterian Churches participate in the Souper Bowl of Caring on Super Bowl Sunday. Members of each church vote on which team will win the Super Bowl with their donations. The youth use this money to purchase food for the Food Pantry.
The Youth for the Cure team have traditionally participated in Relay for Life in late May or early June each year
JUMPY Youth Group participates in the Operation Christmas Child project through Samaritan's Purse. They collect donations to fill shoe boxes that are given to children around the world to brighten their Christmas season. Suggestions items included: school supplies, small toys, hygiene items, hard candy/lollipops, sunglasses, hair accessories, coloring books/crayons, and picture books. Boxes are filled for boys and girls aged 2-14 yrs.
