JMUMC Multi Media Projector Policy

The use of the Multi Media projector is governed by the Communications Committee of Jamieson Memorial United Methodist Church.  Guidelines for borrowing the equipment are as follows:

o        The Multi Media projector will be housed in the church office of Jamieson Memorial United Methodist Church.

o        Use of the projector is on a first-come, first –serve basis, however members are encouraged to consider church needs when resolving any conflicts that arise.

o        It may be borrowed by any member of Jamieson Memorial UMC, 21 years of age or older, for use in the church or for non-profit use within the community.

o        The equipment may be reserved in advance through the Jamieson Memorial United Methodist Church office, and must be picked up and returned during the church’s hours of operation, unless specific arrangements are made.  The projector should not leave the church office without being signed out by a church staff or communications committee member.

o        There is a no charge to use the equipment.

o        Individuals using the projector must provide their own laptop or desktop computer.

o        The church Staff or communications committee member will provide instruction for the use of equipment, but may not be present to operate it for meetings and programs. Arrangement for this instruction must be made no later than one week in advance of the meeting date.

o        The projector must complete its cool-down cycle before being unplugged to prevent undue stress on the projector lamp causing the lamp to blow out or have a drastically reduced life. Lamps cost approximately $400 each to replace. After completing your presentation, allow the fan to cool down the LCD for a minimum of five minutes.

o        Any malfunction or difficulty encountered in the use of the equipment must be reported to the church staff immediately.

o        A signature must be provided upon checkout. This signature will specify that the person checking out the equipment assumes full responsibility for its safe return in good working order. The check out period must not exceed three days.

o        A signature must be provided upon the return of the projector to confirm that the projector has been returned in working order or documenting any malfunctions encountered.

I have read the above policy and agree to its terms. I assume full responsibility for the projector’s return in good working order. I understand that if any loss or damage occurs to the projector while in my possession, I am liable to pay for repairs or replacement.
