The National Association of United Methodist Scouters

Formed in 1986, the National Association of United Methodist Scouters (NAUMS) is an association of individuals who support the Ministry of Scouting in the United Methodist Church. The Ministry of Scouting is an outreach ministry of the church emphasizing the use of programs of the Boy Scouts of America, Girl Scouts of the USA, Campfire USA and 4-H.

The primary purposes of NAUMS are to promote the Ministry of Scouting throughout the United Methodist Church and to develop resources for individuals involved in the Ministry. In addition to supporting this Ministry, members receive the Association newsletter, “NAUMS News”.

NAUMS has training events for local church scouting coordinators scheduled throughout the year at various locations. Check the NAUMS web site: www.naums.org for schedule information.

If you are not yet a member of NAUMS, please join us and help support the Ministry of Scouting. Life Memberships are available for individuals who are committed to the long term impact of the Association. Please go to the NAUMS web site, www.naums.org, for additional information.

NAUMS is affiliated with the General Commission on United Methodist Men and the National Association of Conference Presidents of UMMen. The Association receives significant support from the UMM Foundation.
