Lenten Services - Jamieson participates in the Ecumenical Lenten
Services held at various Clarksville churches each Wednesday during the
Lenten season, where a pastor from one of the participating churches
leads a community service at a different church. The service is
followed by a Lenten Luncheon. Check the
calendar for the scheduled services.
Community Palm Sunday Service. Sunday,
March 16 at 9:00 a.m. in front of the Fine Arts Center, followed by a brisk
walk to the Presbyterian church, where we'll find refreshments. For the very
first time there will be two guitarists, Rev. Walt Westbrook and Rev. Greg
Randall from Clarksville Baptist. This service replaces the normal
9:00 a.m. service at Jamieson. So, come on out. It's always a lot of
fun. The Episcopalians invite us to share their pancakes at 7:00 a.m. to
help energize us for the walk up Virginia Ave.
Maundy Thursday Service with Holy Communion. Thursday,
March 20 at 7:00 p.m. We celebrate the Last Supper.
Good Friday Service. Friday, March 21 at 7:00
p.m. Profoundly spiritual. Perfect preparation for Easter (there IS no
Easter without Good Friday).
Easter Sunday Community Sunrise Service.
Sunday, March 23 at 7:30 a.m. This is a brand new service at the
amphitheater at Occoneechee State Park. Entrance to the park will be free.
Just enter the park and take a left. You can't miss it. Then we'll have our
regularly scheduled 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. services.
Christmas Eve Service - Jamieson traditionally hosts two services
on Christmas Eve, an early service and the candlelight service at 11:00
p.m.. |
