The
Jamieson Memorial UMC
and Clarksville Presbyterian Youth (JUMPY) meet together
for bible study, community service and recreational activities. The
youth meetings are Sunday evenings and rotate monthly between the two
churches.
Chili Cook-Off
JUMPY held the 3rd Annual Chili
Cook-Off on Saturday, February 2, 2008. Members of both churches
entered a crock pot full of their favorite chili recipe. Everyone was
invited to sample the chili and vote with their donations. JUMPY
raised $226 for their Relay for Life team.
Congratulations to Diana Overby of Boydton, VA who won with her Fiesta
Chili.

Souper Bowl Sunday
 Youth from Jamieson, Clarksville Presbyterian and
Clarksville Baptist Churches participated in the Souper Bowl of Caring on
Sunday, February 3. Members of each church voted on which team would
win the Super Bowl with their donations. The youth purchased more than
$300 in food for the Food Pantry and made additional donations to the Food
Pantry and Project Care-For.

Easter Carnival
On Saturday, March 22 from 2 to 4 p.m. JUMPY will
hold its annual Easter Carnival at Clarksville Presbyterian Church.
Activities include games and crafts, egg hunt and pictures with the Easter
Bunny. All children are invited to attend.
Chicken Dinner
On Sunday, April 11 JUMPY held a chicken
dinner following the 11:00 a.m. service. They raised $743 for Relay
for Life.
Relay for Life
The Youth for the Cure team
will once again participate in the Relay for Life on May 30-31, 2008. The
team is already raising money for the cause through activities such as the
Chili Cook-Off and chicken dinner. You can learn more about Relay for

Trunk or Treat
On Halloween evening 2007 the
youth group held its first Trunk or Treat celebration in the Jamieson
parking lot. They plan to make this an annual event for community
youth.

In December the youth generally
hold a progressive dinner.
